I am new to databases and technical computer support; I am also a quick study! What I have are flat files and we were told that if we purchased something similar to SQL Loader we would be able to convert them to SQL. I purchased Visual Importer yesterday, how would I accomplish this quest step by step? Immediate support would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you,

Jordan

Hi
Have you created tables to load data into?

Mike,

I saw that you replied to my message. I really need more detail, like you are speaking with a two year old. I have not created tables to load the files into. All we have is a mapping of the files. I have already attached them in an email I sent you this morning. My understanding was that this program would convert the flat file into understandable data. Please Please Please write back soon with detailed instructions.

Thank you very much!

Visual Importer ETL  saved us 25-30 hours per month. Much of that comes from being able to build in error checking into the scripting. I've even been able to script corrections that run on the fly triggered by the error checking on incoming order files.
