Occasionally getting I/O error 3 when working file system doing file copies / moves etc. Installed environment is Windows server 2003 ent with server 2008 domain controller.

Can you define that error for me? Typically occurs when there is heavy load of file system activity but trying to pin it down vs making educated guess.

That means that access was denied to the file

Not enough user rights or is is locked by some other process.

Like you are trying to access the file before I was downloaded from the ftp

Also how big is your repository how?

I would recommend clearing the log.

cleared logs. repository is 300mb now. Not sure how much will compress by packing in access.

We do not recommend using access for production env

Use MS SQL server instead (Express edition will do)

I've always used your default repository. Are there any tools to assist in migrating from ms access to sql server?

Repository creation wizard will create for you new repository

Than click tools - backup repository
connect to new repository
Click tools - restore repository

Done

You would need to restart execution agent as well
