TOPIC: Vimp will not import.

Vimp will not import. 10 months ago #3300

Help me please.

Vimp will not import.

Source db is an Oracle db. Target is a MS-SQL db.
The source records are displayed correctly.
The target DB user has all permissions to read / write in the table. I
don't know where to look any more.

Kind regards,

G.W.

Hi.

Have you got any messages in error log?
All you fields are set to

IfNull=Ignore
IfError=Set To Null

Set if error to reject.

May be some of calculations are not working
There are some examples in documentation.

Plus watch those videos they will help you to get started

I don't even get any message in errorlog. It just won't start. The
Check Script doesn't give any error.

I tried it with a source data coming from only one table (SYSADM.ORU),
using Select Table instead of SQL statement. It works, but the R_TEXT
field content is not displayed. The source database is Oracle and the
field is defined as LONG RAW.
It looks like the SQL statement gets the data from the source database
all right but it cannot pass them through to the target database.

Does it make any sense to you?

Kind regards,
G.W.

It could be problem with your source or target.

Can you try loading from small text file into different table.

If it works try different source table

Also how big is your source table?

We can also do some testing on our site.

Can you email us tables creation scripts
