Mike,

When I do a direct map is there anyway I can do this using a function too??

i.e. I have a column called CUSTOMER_NAME in my spreadsheet which I map to CUSTOMER_NAME in an oracle table, but I want to Upper(CUSTOMER_NAME) at the same time??

This would be useful, as well as the substr function….
Dave.

Yes it is possible

Set mapping type to Calculated

and enter UpperCase("[TECHNICAL_ENGINEER_ID]") below

[TECHNICAL_ENGINEER_ID] is a source field name.

There are more examples on page 46 of documentation
You may find full list functions there as well

Hope that helps,
Mike
