I am wondering if Visual Importer Enterprise worked on windows server 2008?
I know the site says it only works up to 2003/xp/vista but I just wanted to double check.

I am running the most current Visual Importer Ent.
I am running it in windows server 2008.
I know you said that you have not tried it in windows server 2008 yet, but you had customers that run it on 2008.
I am having issues running the agent under server 2008. The service runs and the process shows up in the task manager, but the agent program does not display.
I am wondering if others have had this problem and if they found a work around.

have a look at the documentation page 115

I apologize, I was using an older version for a while and just updated to the newest version. In the older version the agent ran in the task bar and had its own display.

I followed the documentation on how to get the packages to run through the agent. I Installed the agent as a service and made sure it was running. I created a task in the scheduler but it never runs. I made sure to check use agent to execute packages. When I try to manually run the task from the scheduler, it sits in the execution monitor as submitted.

When I use vpr from the command line it runs the task no problem.

Not sure what I am missing for the agent to run the task.

Are you running it as local administrator?

Are you evaluating it? eg have got the key?
