Hello

We are currently using VI Enterprise version 7.7.5.8.

We are upgrading to Windows 7 and I have had some issues with ODBC.
Is version 7.7.7.8 Windows 7 compatable?
If so, how do I upgrade?
Isn't there a change to the formulas I would need to run?
What is the sequence I would use to upgrade formulas and versions?

1.) We are currently using VI Enterprise version 7.7.5.8. We are upgrading to Windows 7 and I have had some issues with ODBC.

>>>Can you be more specific about ODBC issues

2) Is version 7.7.7.8 Windows 7 compatible?

It, is

3) If so, how do I upgrade?

I would recommend installing it on new pc and run your tests there
You may need to upgrade you repository to enable new conenction types

4)

There were a lot of changes to scripting language
www.dbsoftlab.com/etl-tools/visual-impor...erprise/history.html

You would need to update all calculations

Right click on fields grid and select Correct calculations

A connection was set up on a Windows XP computer.
My new computer has Windows 7, which didn’t have the proper ODBC.
I added the ODBC using administrator rights.
I can see it in the ODBC set up and it test successfully.
When I run VI Enterprise it doesn’t see the ODBC I created.
I tried making a new connection and my new ODBC wasn’t in the drop down list.
So it appears VIE isn’t seeing new ODBC’s created with Windows 7.

I guess it is Win 64 and you have installed 64 bit driver

Visual Importer is 32 bit application and you need 32 bit driver for it to work

That worked.
Thanks.
I created a 32 bit ODBC.
