For the mapping of a particular field, I would like to perform a SQL Method that refers to a column in the the input data and a column in the destination DB table, however when I select the 'SQL Function' from the Mapping drop down, I get a popup message informing me that this is not an option for MS SQL Server. Is this true?

How can I achive my goal of setting a particular detination DB column with an optional value dependent on a data match from the input flat file and a column(s) in the destination DB Table ?

Sorry It is not very clear for us what you are trying to achive.

It is not possible to use sql function for sql server connection due to limitations of BCP interface. We suggest to use ODBC connection instead. It will be slower, but should do the trick
