Hello,

We have purchased your Enterprise VI tool and are using it as a part of an
ETL?DM project. We have over 2 millions records we are looking to automate in a record load process between 2 SQL Server instances. We are receiving this error from Script

Error 2/15/2011 4:55:20 PM 42000 [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server
Driver][SQL Server]The query processor could not start the necessary thread
resources for parallel query execution.

Any ideas?
Ian

It looks like SQL server problem,

msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337448.aspx

Have you got latest SQL server server pack installed/?

Mike,

The thread count is set to 255, shouldn’t that be enough?

It is production SQL Server system. We cannot restart. I have updated the SQL which was having the issue with OPTION(MAXDOP 1) set in the select. Could that help?

Also, I am getting the information to insure we are at the correct version etc.

That could help.
You may also try to set MAXDOP to 2 or 3
