Hello,

I am testing the ability to transfer the repository from one machine to another.

I did a backup of the active repository, put that backup file onto a USB, and moved it to the other machine.

However, when I do a restore repository, and select that file, I lose all drop down view in the object tree; I cannot see any connections, no directories, or packages are accessible. If I try to add something, I get an error message.

Please advise; would like to move the directory onto a local machine and off my laptop.

Thanks,
Billy

If you are using default repository MS Access you can just copy the directory
C:\Program Files\DB Software Laboratory\Visual Importer Enterprise\Repository

I have tested repository backup/restore routine in latest version and it does work.
We had some problems before in earlier versions but they were fixed a while ago

One of the good things about Advanced ETL Processor that the trial has no limitations. There is no need to fill in any registration forms or to buy the software in advance.  That saved us a lot of time and we were able to load and  validate all our data when we needed it urgently.
