Using support forum as you suggested

Now two more questions:

1. I’m using MS Access as my database for repository. I have the option of using MS Access (current repository) or using MySQL. Which one do you recommend for VI Enterprise? Or it does not matter?

2. On the Object tree, there is a section called “Directories” containing “Buffer”, “Excel Files”, “Text Files”. I’m curious as to what is the purpose of this feature. Can you give me a quick description? Please.

3. On VI Home page, on bottom, there is a section that says “Latest Information”. It shows the Installed Version (7.7.4.15). And the “Latest Version”, 7.7.4.16. However, when I do “Help à Check Version Now”, refreshes. I go to website to download latest version, but website only gives me the current version I have, not the new one. Any ideas?

Again, thank you for all of your help.

It does not matter for small projects

2. On the Object tree, there is a section called “Directories” containing “Buffer”, “Excel Files”, “Text Files”. I’m curious as to what is the purpose of this feature. Can you give me a quick description? Please.

There are some examples in PDF documentation
You can use file names like <directoryname>\test.txt
It makes it more manageable

That only means the the web mastet has not updated the page yet

Testimonials

Advanced ETL Processor's ability to validate and tranform data without actually loading it into the datawarehouse has saved us a lot of time. We were able to see how data will look like, once it is transformed and which records would fail during data validation.
