I am evaluating VImp & VImp Pro and have a couple of questions.

I have several files that I would like to import into my database that have constraints between them. I would like to be able to automatically serialize the loading of all of the files. Each file will create one table, so that part is easy, but can either of the products automatically create each table in the order I specify? I did not find how to do this with VImp.

Thank you for your quick help. I really need to get answers as soon as possible, so I can get the right software for my needs.

You may write a script to create your tables and run it using VImp Pro.
Our software does not create tables automatically.

Thank you for your response. More information on the topics:

I did not mean to say creating the table, but rather populating the table as you probably suspected. It looked like VImp Pro allows
serializing of the loading of tables so that I could populate each table from each file, am I correct?

I will be able to spend just a little bit of time per day for the next
few days (starting tomorrow) to evaluate this.

Is there anything else you would like to tell me before I really get
into the evaluation. I do know that the trial limits the number of
records that it can import to something like 20. I think that will
really stink for my evaluation, but will have to see.

There are no limitations in your ETl software trials

Testimonials

My boss told me to keep looking for a more expensive application, assuming Visual Importer ETL couldn't be very good because the price was just too low.  After testing several imports I convinced him that Visual Importer did everything we want so there was no need to pay for a more expensive solution.
