Hi,

I am currently evaluating your software on a clients site, and I have a question regarding your scheduler. I noticed that there is a tab called External Application. Can I use the Scheduler to run External Applications (a bat file in this case)? It would be great if this were possible, as Windows scheduler is a little weak in this respect.

Thanks
Luc

I can't find documentation and its not obvious. I dragged the external applications object onto the board, but how do I link it to the bat file? There doesn't seem to be a related option. At the same time, I will be launching another vbs script, which needs to be in the same folder as the bat file.

Sorry for bombarding you with questions.
I appreciate the support.

We are here to help you.

Double click on External application and select advanced.

You see, the support procedure is here for the reason

We have several ETL tolls.
Since you have not told us which one you are using I am just guessing here.
Plus I do not know the version number.
No screen shots either.

Have you seen our on-line tutorials:

Hi Mike,

After some experimentation, all it needed was to select "application" rather than "script".

Thanks anyway

There is a big difference between external application and script item

Please consult the documentation regarding script Item
