I have recently upgraded to MS Windows 7 and reinstalled my license of Visual Importer Pro. Execution has been irratic at best in this environment. I believe the root cause of the behavior may be that the software has not registered itself correctly on installation. When attempting to save the Options dialog I receive an error 'Unable to open key - "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VImpPro\TApPropDlgFrm" for write.'

I am not able to access any ODBC drivers other than those provided for the DEMO files.

Any ideas how to correct this issue?

Thanks. I am running 64bit. I have administrative rights to the machine.
There appear to be a few registry entries in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DB Software Laboratory.

I had not really used VI Pro that much in the previous Vista environment. Not enough to establish alternative repositories or projects. I relied mostly on an older version of the basic Visual Importer.

Did I miss something on the install?

Exactly same problem as it was reported before

Open command prompt and run

reg flags "HKLM\SOFTWARE\DB Software Laboratory" SET DONT_VIRTUALIZE

if it fails run

reg flags "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\DB Software Laboratory" SET DONT_VIRTUALIZE

run regedit

Open
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\DB Software Laboratory
Right click
Permissions
Give yourself full access to it and all subfolders

I get an error on both commands - "Error: the system was unable to find the specified registry key or value."

There is no directory for DB Software Laboratory in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE.

Right click
Permissions
