I am using the demo version of Visual Importer professional, using the default Repository or the empty one, in fact any one, upon testin the connection it works fine, but when i attempt to create new item of any type i recieve the error "Operation must use updatable query", one the error occurs it continues to occur if any item is clicked on the GUI, any suggestions?

Have you installed all the patches?
MDAC, MS Jet?
Have you got operating system user rights to update repository file?
Which version of windows are you on?

Yes everything installed and do hav system rights the OS is MS Windows Server 2003, i did get the application to work on one instance however the error persists.

We reproduced the problem by making MS Access repository file read only.
