Hi,

First of all thanks for your excellent product - it's the best tool of its kind I've seen in terms of flexibility of connection to multiple dbs and it's easy to use. Plus the portability is a major advantage to me.

However, I'm new to it and although connections to SQL Server dbs have worked fine, I'm having trouble with using an Oracle db. I get a list of tables but when I try to run SQL or click on a table to see the contents (which I assume is equivalent to submitting a SELECT * FROM) I get an error message "Provider not found. It may not be properly installed." Is this a reference to the Oracle client? If so I don't understand what the problem is since the tables are displayed and because I can get full access to the environment via other tools - I've used SQLPLUS and a OLEDB client for this without an issue.

Can you help?

Regards,

Richard

You need Oracle OLE DB provider (by Oracle) for it to work

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

However, the "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle" is already installed and used by another OLE DB client (smartFOCUS) which works fine. Please see attached screenshot.
