Dear Support,

Are there any command line options for starting the database browser?

I'd like to pass the SID@HOST parameters if possible.
thanks in advance.

Not at the moment

I can't even imagine why you would ever need to pass a parameter?

Thanks for the response Mike,

WebLaminar.com distributes a mashup to aid technical people with their work. When the tool is supporting n-tier apps it is helpful to be able to have "pre-configured" launches of tools that can investigate
tier's of that system. For the DB layer I would like to be able to hit:

databasebrowserportable.exe -load schema@database -user username -password #####

That's the thought anyway.
This speeds up the problem resolution because the engineer who may not
be familiar with the system does not have to look up the configuration
before they investigate. I do this for PuTTY and other tools.

I understand that your tool is freeware and I would not include it in the mashup but for personal use or clients who wish on their own to use your solution it would be great to have the hook. It's a great replacement for TOAD.

Best Regards,

I see your point now

As long you do not sell Database browser you can distribute it

We will add support for command line to the next release
It will take 2-3 days
