We are working on database warehousing project.
We are analyssing your tool for Data import from Firbird database and insert in to SQL database.
In this process we are facing in login connection with firebird database. We are using the user id - sysdba and password is masterkey.
But we think that it is using sql odbc driver instead of firbird odbc driver and it gives error message that login failed with user id Sysdba but in Interbase Test connection is geting successful with same user id and password.

We do not use odbc for interbase connection
We connect directly

What did you type into database box?

Can you try something like this
localhost:C:\Program Files\DB Software Laboratory\Demo\TEST.GDB

Like on the picture below

Hi Mike,

I have tried our own lotus.gdb file. I have search the test.gdb in "localhost:C:\program files\DB Software Laboratory\Demo\" but did not find it.
I think it is not stored while installation.

Tell me one thing that will it work with Test.gdb onley?

Thanks & Regards
Anand

This was just an example an example of how to connect to Interbase

This use tcp/ip protocol to connect to interbase

localhost:C:\Program Files\DB Software Laboratory\Demo\TEST.GDB
or
server_hostname:path to interbase on the server

this one use netbeui protocol to connect to the interbase
\\server_name\share_name\database.gdb

All we are trying to do is to help you but you are not answering our questions

Our prior imports were done using VB. Our VB expert retired. No one in my group knows VB. So Visual Importer was the answer to the lack of VB skills problem my group experienced.
