Does this tool allow us to read data from Sybase database and store the same into an oracle database?
Does this tool require any specific database as its backend ?

It does.

It does, default one is MS Acess or you can use Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or Interbase

What is "THIS TOOL" ANYWAY?

Thanks for the response. Will you be able to let us know the steps that we need to follow to access sybase data and store it in oracle. What all is reqd at both ends ? How do we automate this activity ?

First of all you would need to download and install Advanced ETL Processor.

Than you would need to install oracle client and sysbase client including ODBC driver
