Sir,

Since early 80s I have been building databases in text files from press clippings, (scanned, ocred and so on). Currently, I use a software named asksam for dealing with that information. I need to know if I could use Visual Importer to import that information into Oracle 10g.
Databases have a soft structure:
TITULO[
MEDIO[
FECHA[
FIRMA[
NOMBRES[
DESCRIPTORES[
VINCULOS[
TEXTO[
where TITULO[, DESCRIPTORES[ AND TEXTO[ are multiline fields. TEXTO[ includes the full text of the article and FECHA[ is a date field in format yyyymmdd
I can export the database from Asksam in text mode, maybe in CSV, but it seems the filter does not work properly for CSV.

If visual importer works well, I\'d buy the software.

Fernando
