Dear All,

At the CIC, we collect credit data from banks on all customers individuals and organizations, which include most of the transactions they make at the banks. The purpose of the Credit Information Centre or CIC is to keep and manage the credit history for individuals and organizations. Keeping and managing the Credit history is done at the CIC systems, however, gathering the data from the banks and submitting it to the CIC systems is where you can help.

Currently, the process of gathering the data and submitting it to the CIC system is done using a tool that installed at the banks side, this tool requires the data to be collected from the banks systems and re-entered using this tool, saved in a separate database, the tool will do validation and some transformation of the data before sending it to the CIC system in the form of a text file contains all the credit data.
The problem with the tool used now is its lack of extracting the data from the source of the data (the banks systems), instead, the credit data will be gathered or generated from the banks systems in paper forms and manually entered to this tool.

We need a tool that extracts the data from the banks systems, validate and transform the data as required, and loading the credit data into text files and submitting it via secure channel to the CIC systems.

Some facts:
The data is stored in different formats at the source ( the banks systems)
The data is scattered in different locations depending on the banks
There will be validation done on extracting the data
The data will have to be validated according to certain business rules
There will be data transformation activities to prepare the data to be loaded to the CIC systems
At the end a data will be loaded into a text file
The generated text file will be sent to CIC where it will be loaded into the main Credit Management System
To meet our requirement we think of purchasing an ETL tool that is open for customization and easy to use and hoping that one of your products can serve our needs. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you
Ali

Thank you very much for the interest in our ETL products.
By looking at what you are trying to achieve I think the most suitable product for you would be Advanced ETL processor enterprise.

The best way to get started would be to watch our on-line tutorials.

The data will have to be validated according to certain business rules

The generated text file will be sent to CIC where it will be loaded into the main Credit Management System

>If something is missing we will be happy to extend the functionality of AETL for you like we did for a lot of our customers.

Dear Mike,

I have an important question regarding extracting the data from the data source. If I have data that get updated daily, can I use your tools to extract the updated data only?, is there a function that will allow me to search for the updated data only and extract it, not just extracting all content of a table(s) or a file(s)?

Thank you
Ali

Sure you can do it.
If your data-source is the database you can write an sql to extract latest data
or if your data source is a text or excel file you can use validation functions
