ETL and Data Integration tools - Modern ETL software for everyone

We think to buy Advanced ETL processor.
Today we had download trial version of software and we try to use it but we have same problem to use calculation in transformation false: we try to set a constant to a field of writer table (is not exist in reader table).
In calculation we write:

var
text : String;
begin
text:='1234567890';
result:=text;
end;

the result of run button is 1234567890 (is correct)
but the destination field is empty wen we run the ETL proces.

Can you help us?

There is special object designed to do just that it is called 'Literal'

Your example should work as well but you have to connect both ends of ETL calculation
