Hi,

Is it possible to enhance the Export Data Object to also allow the target file to be determined by utilizing a mask? Currently, you have to use a specific file name.

I ask because we are trying to append data to a file that is dynamic. The file is named differently each time we receive from our client, but we know it always starts with the same prefix. An example would be FB20091109000.000001. We know these files will begin with FB. I was hoping we could append utilizing a mask like FB*.

We would maintain the directory so there would only be one file within the directory beginning with FB.

I hope this makes sense. I have attached a screen print so you know the object I am referring to.

Can a mask function be added to this so it can be dynamic?

You file has got a date in it. perhaps you can just use calculation in the file name?
There is an example in documentation

Visual Importer ETL  saved us 25-30 hours per month. Much of that comes from being able to build in error checking into the scripting. I've even been able to script corrections that run on the fly triggered by the error checking on incoming order files.
