Hi,

I have a simple transformation loading data from my source file to my target table. I would like to load the file name from my source file to my target table as well.

I believe I need to utilize the Function ExtractFileName within a Calculation Transformation Object. What would my variables be and what would the variable types be? Should there be a field from my Validator going into the Calculation Transformation Object?

I'm confused. Could you please show me how to accomplish this?

Thanks
Steve

Steve.

I am sure that it is actually possible at the moment.
I will speak with our developers if it is not possible what we can do is extend calculation object functionality for you

Best regards,
John

Just letting you know the we have created a new transformation object called Reader Properties for you.

We are currently testing it internally.

Best Regards,

My boss told me to keep looking for a more expensive application, assuming Visual Importer ETL couldn't be very good because the price was just too low.  After testing several imports I convinced him that Visual Importer did everything we want so there was no need to pay for a more expensive solution.
