Hi

I have a package which ran and sent me a successful email.
When I look at the log I see there were errors and I would expect to see a failure email rather than a successful email.

Do I have something set up wrong?

Ron.

You have not done anything wrong.
It fails only on serious error like could not connect to the server,
file/table does not exists, sql before/after failed What we can do for
you is to add a check box "Fail on load error" to Import script
properties window It will take 4-6 days.

Best regards,
Mike

This issue is critical for us.
If any row fails to load I would prefer to have no rows added to the SQL table at all. Plus I would need a failure email.
We will run Visual Importer on a batch server in our computer room and we have about 100 loads every day.
I don't want to have to review each load and look for rows that were not loaded.
We would need Visual Importer to notify us via email whenever a row fails to load.

Can you do the following please

Download and install latest version

Open import script and set Batch Size to maximum possible number of records (10 millions will do)
Open package and for import script tick "Fail on Import errors"

By default Import is failed only on major errors:
Connection failure
File/Table does not exist
Sql Before/After has failed

When 'Fail on import error' is checked it will also fail on:
Check Constraint,
Primary Key,
Foreign Key Violations
Data Conversion Errors
Calculation Errors

Please let us know the outcome,
Best regards,
Mike
