Hi,

I am looking for an ETL solution and came across your Advanced ETL product. It is certainly a great tool but the documentation is not substantial enough when it comes to the Calculation module in the Transformation section. While many functions are listed the basics seem to be missing - or I didn't find them. Basics like how to enter comments into the code (well, I figured out it is //), how do declare data types etc. Is there some documentation for that calculation module and the programming language??

Any help would be appreciated and would help me in my buy decision.

Regards,
Greg

Yes you are right

There are plenty of room for improvement in our documentation.
Our programmers far too good and documentation people are always lagging behind
We are currently updating it and we will let you know when it is ready

Mike,

Thank you for your prompt response. I took already a quick look at the documentation and the changes around calculation are really much better than before.

So far I am impressed by the functionality your product provides.

Greg

Visual Importer ETL  saved us 25-30 hours per month. Much of that comes from being able to build in error checking into the scripting. I've even been able to script corrections that run on the fly triggered by the error checking on incoming order files.
