Hi,

First, I want to say your tool has assisted us greatly in launching a large program for a new client. You were very responsive in making changes to accommodate some of our unique needs. Thanks!!

Now, to the challenge I am having. . . . . .

I am having issues with the Task Scheduler in Advanced ETL Processor Professional.

* When I schedule a task to run weekly on a specific day of the week, it initially runs the task then it takes upon itself to submit a new request for the same task every minute. I did NOT request for the task to repeat every minute. Also, when I look into the Schedule table in the repository, it is not flagged as repeating every minute. As a result, fellow employees were receiving email notifications every minute when a task would run.

* Another issue is the "start at date" changes on a task whenever I make a change to that task. The change I am making is not to the "start at date" . It always seems to back date the "start at date" to two years before the original "start at date" date. For example, if my "start at date" is 1/26/2011 and I make a change to the day of the week I want the task to run, it automatically changes my "start at date" to 1/26/2009

Thanks for your assistance with this.

Have a look at Weekly Repository Backup schedule.
I think it is already doing what you want.

If it does not help email us screen shots of you schedule including advanced settings

I was having the issue when I did not click on the “Enabled (Scheduled task runs at specified time)” option in the first screen when setting up a new scheduled task.

After choosing my process name from the drop down under “Run:”, I was going to the “Schedule” tab then going into “Advanced” to select a start date. Then I would go back to the “Task” tab and enable the task. After enabling the task, the “start at” date was being changed to two years prior to my actual start date.

It works fine as long as you choose “Enabled (Scheduled task runs at specified time)” option when you are in the first screen when setting up a new scheduled task.
