Hi,
Greetings!
With 'Advanced ETL Processor Enterprise' edition, I was trying to transform date format from 'DD/MM/YYYY' to 'DDMMYY' using Date format option with failed condition set to 'null' in transformer. After processing the rules, system failed to transform to expected date format i.e. 'DDMMYY'. I have also gone through the manual for the same but could not trace the cause of the failure. It was also observed that Execution Log did not record any error messages for the failed transformation. Is this a refresh problem?.

I tried to upload the recording but i was unale to do so i am attachening a doc which contains the snapshots of the job.

Thanks in advance and appreciate your support!

Apologies for not replying earlier

Completely missed this one...

Anyway the purpose of dateformat function is to prepare string data for loading into date field in the database.

If it is what you want you are using wrong format it should be d/m/yyyy

If you want to change one format into another d/m/yyyy into yyyy-m-d
Use splitter to split data into day, month and year tahn join it together again using joiner in different order

Thanks Peter

I had a doubt about the output format i.e., YYYY-MM-DD HH:NN:SS.ZZZ whenever i use the date format. Now i got it from your reply.

My Requirement was,

Source/Input Date Format: D/M/YYYY
Target/Output Date Format: DD/MM/YY

i used Right Delete to remove the HH:NN:SS.ZZZ and left delete to convert the year from YYYY to YY.

I achieved what is required. once again thanks peter.

Thanks,
Navin.
