I am using reader parameters to get source file name.

How can I split it further
eg. into drive file name and extension?

Several possible options.

You can use use calculation object to get file name information
Have a look at pdf documentation
There are number of functions available

or you can use splitter

to get file extension set delimiter to dot
to get drive set delimiter to colon

to get file name use ensure no prefix function and set prefix to directory name
