Hi Mike

I was doing some changes to the Object tree on the client system and it just seemed to totally disappear?

I have tried to restore the Repository, it appears to restore OK but the object tree area remains blank

I have tried refreshing using the option at the top of the column and in the window that you can open in the object window but cannot get anything to show up.

After restoring the Repository there is a schedule of executions and also a large number of log files that came across with the Repository restore, but no object tree?

Craig

Hi Mike

Working on one of my test systems here in the office I caused the same problem as I was seeing before –

I went through the same basic clicks that I was doing before I had the problem –

I was deleting some test Packages from the system and as I deleted one, the cursor went to the top of the object tree “Projects” and before I realised where the cursor was I deleted “Projects” which completely cleared the Object Window

Restoring the Repository at that time does not resolve the problem – I had to reload a new system and overwrite the old repository and then I could run a restore to put back all my developed routines

It would appear that if you delete the “Projects” object that a Repository restore does not replace everything that I deleted at that level

I now know I can fix the problem.

Were you aware the deleting the Projects object has that effect?

Apologies for causing the hassle – might be a good item for the knowledge base?

Thank you for your assistance,
Graig

I just transferred 10,000,000 million records from the main SQL Anywhere database over the network into a Postgres database without a hitch.
