I received an email a short time back that when the client tried to start up the Advanced ETL Processor it gave an error message and would not start – due to LP5 error

what is an LP5 error?

Unless I find something obvious my first through is to uninstall the software at the site and install it again.

Will post further details from what I find.

It might have something to do with anti-virus.
When application starts in unpacks itself and it also monitors memory for patching.

You may try temporary disable anti virus or antispyware to check if it is the source of the problem.
Patch anti-virus to the latest version as well.

Hi Mike

The server is running KasperSky 6.0 for Windows Server

We stopped KasperSky but trying to start the Advanced ETL still gave the LP5 error
I then uninstalled and installed again and with the Kaspersky not active I started and stopped the Advanced ETL Processor several times without an problems

Do you know of issues with a server running KasperSky 6.0 for Windows Server

We run kaspersky 2010 here and it we have no problem with it.
It is very good anti-virus but sometimes it is paranoid.

So just to clarify is it working, fine now?

Hi Mike

At present yes -
I seems that overnight something happen that caused a LP5 - may be when KasperSky did an update or scan and thought that the Advanced ETL Processor was a problem?

We shall see what happens again after a few more stops and starts and then tomorrow when they try to run it like today.

Visual Importer ETL  saved us 25-30 hours per month. Much of that comes from being able to build in error checking into the scripting. I've even been able to script corrections that run on the fly triggered by the error checking on incoming order files.
