Hi,

I am having problems reading/loading files that are generated from different operating systems (windows vs linux/unix).

We currently receive files for a program from various vendors that are generating files form different operating systems.

If I set the line terminator to CR+LF the files with a LF terminator are not read properly. The same holds true for the opposite scenario.

How can I read various files where some files may contain CR+LF and some may contain LF.

Please advise.

Basically you are saying that you download files from different locations into same folder
Some of the files have CR+LF terminator some LF
All files are loaded into the database using one data transformation (with mask I guess) and it is failing.

We would need to modify our ETL software to support such configuration

CR+LF or LF

I think we have found even better solution
Now you can specificity multiple line delimiters

Can you give version 4.2.1.1 a try and let us know the outcome

I downloaded version 4.2.1.1, processed two files (1 CR+LF and 1 LF) through the same transformation and it worked great!
